Basic Stage Combat
Wed, 4 July 2001, 08:58 pmShine Creative and Performing Arts is pleased to present another term of Basic Stage Combat under the expert direction of Andy Fraser.
Andy is an internationally recognised fight director and stage combat professional who has recently emigrated to Perth from the U.K. bringing safer stage combat to Western Australia. (Yippee!!!!)
This course is a valuable tool for a performer (take it from someone who has just completed it!) and is equivalent to the Basic Stage Combat course taught at N.I.D.A.
The course duration is 45 hours and students are required to complete a practical exam at the end of the unit, in order to achieve certification from the Society of Australian Fight Directors, which is internationally recognised.
Classes are on Thursday nights (2nd Aug to 29th Nov) and Sunday mornings (5th Aug to 2nd Dec). Places are limited and this course has already proven to be very popular.......
For more info ring SHINE C.A.P.A on 9314 1510.
Hope to hit you there!
Emma Farrell.

Hi Emma,
Sounds great! Andy held a VERY well-received 2-hour workshop for the ITA a couple of months ago and you couldn't hope to be tutored by a more professional guy. Not only does he know what he's talking about, (and is damn good at it too) but Andy is an excellent educator. Funny, intelligent and articulate, he makes the classes straightforward, worthwhile and fun.
45 hours? Just think of the damage you could do...
