musicals
Sun, 14 Jan 2001, 11:12 amI'd like to be part of a local production company. I would sing in the choir. I don't know how to go about it - any ideas would be welcomed. I live in Floreat in Perth.

Your local theatre company Playlovers usually does a couple of musicals every year. They perform in Hackett Hall, Draper Street, Floreat. They even have a musical coming up in the next few weeks.
If you're prepared to travel a little further afield you could try any number of other companies around the metro area.
Generally getting involved as a chorus or choir member will be a matter of auditioning for the production. Watch out for audition notices on this website. Usually after auditioning successfully you may be expected to join the company as a member. Most companies are non-profit associations and there memberships are in the region of $20-$30 per annum.
Good luck!
Cheers
