Tue, 11 Jan 2000, 07:53 ami have been informed by our it people that a very bad virus has been detected do not download the budwieser bears screen saver as it will crash you hard drive no known remedy yet please pass this on to all and sundry.

Please don't pass this warning on. It is a hoax.

Always be wary of forwarding on these types of messages. I've been on the net for 8 years and have received hundreds of similar warnings - all hoaxes.
Watch for the following characteristics:
- appeals to some authority (our IT section, IBM or micro$oft)
- warns of dire consequences (will invite your mother-in-law to stay)
- urges you to forward on to everyone you know immediately
Simply delete the warning message, or if you are very concerned, do a quick search on the internet and you will soon turn up details on the hoax.
