Will the Real Omnibus Please......
Wed, 20 Oct 1999, 03:46 pmAll that seems to be missing from this lively and facinatingly legalistic debate is Omnibus.

I think Leah has hit the nail on the head.> It depends what definit9ion you go about.... Like the partners,
> or people who have worked for themAnd James just proved it."People who just work for Omnibus", as opposed to the partners, have no say whatsoever in the affairs of the company - they are not members of the company.Every member of every other incorporated community theatre company have a say in what their company does and how it operates.Cheers

I would just like to point out that i believe there is a difference between people who have just worked for them (which you put in quotation marks) and people who have worked for them. To imply just worked for them is to say that they were nothing, which my intention was not.

Think this is the key to the somewhat circular argument. Yes granted, an Incorporated community theatre comapny one can have ones say and yes it can also be disregarded but at least you are entitled to that say. However (isnt there always a however!!) Omnibus is NOT incorporated and hence is no more obliged to listen to others than is any other private enterprise. Be it right or wrong it is a fact and yes it is a legal one at that. Now if Omnibus were an incorporation then this would be an entirely different matter of course.
And yes Grant I do lots of Gardening probably need a bit more chooky poo though :-)
have a good one
