Suspended animation

Okay guys, can anyone recommend the best method of suspending items above the stage. I'm advised to use 'invisible twine,' but all the twine in the tackle shop was quite visibile and the bloke behind the counter wouldn't tell me where he hides the invisible stuff, truth be knowh I suppose he can't see it either. cheers Johnny Grim
