I take it you're planning on using a real, live ultrasound machine??
I'm not sure if you've been present during many ultrasounds but it's often difficult in the early stages of pregnancy to make out much at all - even when you're sitting practically on top of the screen.
Do the audience need to see the screen at all? In most cases I'd expect their attention to be on reactions of the actress being scanned. Which might mean that she faces us and a screen that we can't see.
Otherwise, you could try running someone's video recording of a positive scan through the screen.

Thanks for that Grant! No, I haven't been to an ultrasound, so I didn't realise that a positive scan could be replayed on the screen, while someone else is being scanned. As for the positioning, in my mind's eye, I see the screen US of the nurse doing the scan, so the audience probably wouldn't see the screen anyway.

The last Ultrasound I had
The last Ultrasound I had the room lighting was dimmed & the illumanation was from the monitor, whith the operator crouched covering the vision. It was difficult for me to actualy see the screen. So all you need is a monitor switched on & abit off audio blipping now & then.

I have video of my first
I have video of my first pregnancy and DVD of my 2nd and neither of them has sound on it. I don't think they give you the sound, just the vision. So you'd probably have to add on the relevant sound effects anyway.
