I was merely pointing out some things that I saw and felt it in the best interest to the community here to mention them. People can and do get ripped off by crappy sites. By the way, I've worked with websites before, and have some experience in building them from the ground up. Not only that but I have a good understanding of how arts sites like yours works (having done it myself). (I would add, I spent 6 months helping design a website before we launched it... this is why you don't launch anything publicly until the site is complete to your specifications and on the CORRECT domain name) If the site was under construction, you should have mentioned it. I think it's only fair to mention that fact; there was nothing about it in the above ad. Furthermore, it pisses me off when there's no contact info provided on a contact page, when people in this industry will want to know who they are dealing with and whether or not the site is legit. There are heaps of scams out there and I think it is within reason to investigate when a new site pops up. As a business, you are not presenting just information, you're presenting a service and with that service comes a knowledge of either website business or the arts, and there have been sites that I have seen who've been known to do dodgy things (one in particular will remain nameless, for what I've heard about their actions is from a friend whom doesn't want to make a thing out of it), and with an out-of-the-box web design, it suggested to me that the site was being built merely for a quick buck. Feel free to be pissed off; you did not make it clear the site was under construction, and given that you will be making money out of the site at some point, I think it's only fair that people don't get confused when they see two different URLs. As someone who's read up on SSL and secure sites and runs my own online business, I can tell you right now, having two different domain names can confuse people and send them packing. I would not have bad mouthed it at all if I had been aware it was under construction and not missing certain details which I feel were important to knowing the background behind who set up the site in the first place. (Feel free to consider that a half apology) Jellyfish shadow puppet for sale at Puppets in Melbourne
