Creating Snow
Thu, 20 Nov 2008, 06:35 pmI need to create a snow effect for a scene in a musical. Is this possible to do with lights? if not how can we create such an effect? will we need to use projectors?

Sun, 7 Dec 2008, 01:27 pmI've done something similar to a Mirror Ball!
I had a mirrored Long Cylinder made (So like a mirror ball but long - and without so many mirror pieces)there were 5 of them, they were then fixed onto a Rotissery like mechanism. This was hung upstage just behind the curtain. Fresnels were shuttered in and hung down stage facing the cylinders. As did not have controls for the Rotissery we had to leave them on for the duration of the show, but only brought the lights up when we needed the show effect.
This also works for rain effect.
