Reading through the many and varied offered solutions to problems in this forum, I got to wondering which worked for whom?

This page has helped (hopefully) with almost all the technical aspects of theatre at some point or another and I thought it would be beneficial to read whether or not the enquirers found the answer they were searching for or whether they came up with an idea of their own that worked. .

I am not suggesting we start a back-patting, "Good on ya mate, thanks for that!" thread, just feedback.

I think that this would take away a lot of the trial and error of checking out each of the ideas posted to see what worked in any given application. Maybe people would also like to know of any suggestions that went wrong, to avoid any potential future disasters

None of us expect to given bouquets for doing what we love and we are all willing to assist where we can....but it would be good to know if we were actually able to help.

Just a thought.

On "Control Booth", a US

On "Control Booth", a US site [which is excellent] they have a "thanks" button on each thread so that if you find a useful response you just click on this button and you can show your appreciation without lots of "me too" posts, it's sort of like the "add vote", but more obvious. You can also see how many times a person has been thanked and this gives you an idea about their voracity.

Great to see!

A wonderful article from the New York Times theatre section. Thank you for that Gaafa!

Still, it would be nice to see what works here.

Grant/Na, how difficult would it be to include the "Thanks" button that David described and run a "rated" section like the voting for posts?

"Be nice to your Tech's - or they'll turn out the lights and go home!"
