Another question for the experts. Again, in relation to our play set in heaven. We want the characters to look deceased, so, we need a suitable makupo, nopt so heavy that they have white painted faces, suggestions welcome. cheers Johnny Grim A lad in sane productions

Depending on how long since the bod was put down?
With the make up things like the eye sockets, jaw & cheeks would have sunk & need to be shaded darker than that of the skin. which would start to become yellowish to cyan in colour. At least that is what I remember from my stint in the morgue.
As for Make Up I know nowt,  rather make down, is my tea bag. 
As David suggested don't be frightened off, in using a colour palette with the lighting. subtle colours would enhance the mise en scene. Beside the back & front light, I'd think I would chuck in a hint of side lighting, possibly Lilac.
