hi i was wondering if any body knows where i can do a course in lighting because all the exp i have has been me just been shown lighting skills from people and these days you need a paper saying you are skilled in the area of lighting so that is why i am asking do you know where i can do a course on lighting

NIDA would be your first point of call. That is if you want something in NSW. I don't know of any others (in NSW), but I would suggest looking in the latest VTAC guides for some help. Julius Media and other production companies offer short course/certificates, which would be the best place to go after that. They also have forums there were you can post about finding work and courses. If youre really committed and willing to move WAAPA in WA has some great courses for stage management, lighting and other theatre related courses. :D
