English art student looking to study special effects and character creation in Australia.
Tue, 28 Aug 2007, 01:52 amHello.
I am a 19 yr old art student looking to study in Australia. I have already been accepted into the University of Wimbledon, a direct branch of the University of the Arts London group, a well known and established university. The course suits me well, but I am looking to branch out further and discover other possible options. The type of couse I am looking for includes creating, casting, using vinamoulds, fibreglass, clay, and other modelling techniques in order to create fantasy creatures, elaborate works, and tortured body parts and life size, realistic bodies. I have attended grammar school, leaving with 3 A* and 8 A grade GCSE certificates in all subjects including maths, english literature, english language, biology, physics, chemistry, plus many more. I attended Exeter Colege for two years completing an A level in film studies at A grade, a double award art and design AVCE course attaining two A grades, and a pass diploma in theatrical and media make-up course. I then decided to continue for an extra year completing a foundation course in art and design (sculpture)to a distinction level. I have a large portfolio of both 2d and 3d works including both sketchbook work, large working drawings, and life drawings. From this you can see that i am keen and determined about what i want to get from my time spent and university, however i have been finding it rather dificult to find any such courses as of yet. If anyone can give me any ideas as to where to look it would be much appreciated!
Cheers!!!!
Samantha.
