Sound effect Needed

I am putting together the sound effects for a one man show about Benny Hill (the things we do for money) and am seeking the sound of a bald head being slapped. Has anyone got such a thing in an e-mailable form. I can cope with mp3 wav or many other popular file formats. Otherwise I am going to have to find a bald person who doesn't mind being slapped around. I am unfortunately on a deadline and need it by friday 2nd June. Bump in on Sunday.

Sounddogs

Hi Tony, You can try visiting www.sounddogs.com (I think that's the address!). Sound Dogs are used by pretty much everyone everywhere, and they have a lot of different sound effects. They use different formats as well. The Prompt Copy Networking emerging theatre professionals www.thepromptcopy.com Sticky Apple Legs http://stickyapplelegs.artsblogs.com

Yeah, I use them a lot -

Yeah, I use them a lot - got some great stuff there, but you have to kind of wade through the crappy files that have a little crackle and buzz in them. The Prompt Copy Networking emerging theatre professionals www.thepromptcopy.com Sticky Apple Legs http://stickyapplelegs.artsblogs.com

Just Checked

They haven't actually got what I want that I could find but it's a good site. I will definitely use them. Mind you I'm a lighting designer by trade sound is a bit off the track for me.

I know exactly what you

I know exactly what you mean - lighting design is my preferred thing, but within a small company (3 people in Sticky Apple Legs) I've become the resident sound person as well. I used Sound Dogs to create a complete sound design/scape for a one hour show... No dialogue, just sound effects and background noise. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone will have 'man being slapped on back of head'. You're right

However with use of a face slap from a BBC CD and the good services of GoldWave, a great piece of Canadian Shareware not expensive and extremely easy to use I have created the effect I needed. I think. I'll see what the Director says this afternoon. Thanks for your help

Ah, yes, love Goldwave.

Ah, yes, love Goldwave. Bought a copy of it several years ago and have not stopped using it since! Sounds like you've solved the problem! The Prompt Copy Networking emerging theatre professionals www.thepromptcopy.com Sticky Apple Legs http://stickyapplelegs.artsblogs.com
