Re: Les Mis Auditions

Hi Brooke,

If you are going for Mdm Thenadier, then I think Big Spender will work OK for you - if you can play it 'big and funny' for the audition. I believe it'll give the panel a good indication of your comedic abilities (and vocal power, which for Thenadier is important).

As a director, personally I wouldn't have any trouble with this song for the audition. Wouldn't work too well for Cosette, though... ;o)

Good luck today! :o)

Re: Les Mis Auditions

Yeah Im in Victoria but the auditions are finished now, sorry im busy on another show.

I ended up singing big spender and the director then asked me to sing it in a cockny accent, i had the panel in stitches. The director said that he things big spender should always be sung by cockny women.

Thanks for all that!
