Recitals

I've just been to a recital for graduating Bachelor of Music (Performance) students at UWA. This kind of event is really great to have a look at how vocal & instrumental students present themselves, hear the quality of our graduates, get inspired to practise more (because they were great [or awful]) or to start playing. These students are usually taught by the best professionals in the state, so they must be pretty good!

If you want to know what's going on in music around you, maybe give some Universities a call and ask if they have any student recitals coming up. Seriously, it was very cool. And I know that I few Unis (this is technically correct spelling) also have free lunchtime concerts. Check it out.

This was free, so it was even better.

You never know, you could hear someone for free who turns out to be at concerts where a ticket will cost you $100, and you can do that old codger thing "I heard them when they were just starting out..."
