For the people who've been successful in auditions for drama schools/plays/productions, just interested in what songs you chose to sing?

I guess the main thing is to be really confident, prepared and to enjoy what you are singing. If you are enjoying yourself the judges will enjoy themselves too. That being said:

Some tips I have found useful - use as you will

No Andrew Lloyd Webber.
No Les Mis - they get sooo much of it. Especially no On My Own.
Try to find something a little more abscure - that way the judges will know you haven't just picked up the closest song, and it will make a nice change if they haven't heard the same song fifteen times that day.
No 'tits and ass' or 'nothing' from a chorus line.

Sondheim is good, but tricky to sing - again just do what you feel comfortable.

Goodluck!
