Jnr Theatre Experience wanted
Sat, 12 Oct 2002, 01:49 pmhi, I am a 12 yr old who lives in South Australia. I am looking to gain experience or auditions in Music Theatre. I have been a singing student for 4 years but have very little exp. in dance or Acting (mostly short courses and school plays).
Could anyone email me any possible auditions suitable for my age which may be available. Thank You.

Dear Tori,
As far as I know there are quite a few theatre companies in SA who will accept young members - although be prepared to start with chorus roles if there aren't any main roles suitable for your age group.

I'd suggest perhaps contacting:
- Marie Clark Singers
- Metropolitan Musical Theatre Co.
- Adelaide Rep
- Northern Light
I've attended a few productions by these companies and they sometimes will have people of your age in the cas.
Also, if you are involved in Scouts or Guide, you should audition for Gang Show or Comedy Capers next year. They always take in a lot of young people and quite often you'll get a decent singing/acting/dancing part too, depending on your talents.
