The Fantasticks?
Thu, 15 Aug 2002, 03:24 pmHas anyone actually made the effort to come up to Roleystone and see the production of "The Fantasticks"?
If you have, it would be really great to here come feedback!
And... if you havn't seen it! Make the effort to come up, because it's definitly worth it. Come on! why do you think it's the longest running musical in the world!
It has a lot to offer an audience. You'll love it! But either way you'll leave the theatre with a lot to think about. Which is a lot more than I can say about most musicals which are performed these days!
By the way, Roleystone isn't that far to go to see a show like "The Fantasticks"! It's better than previously having to fly to Broadway!

Re: The Fantasticks?
Yes, my daughter and I went last night (14 September) and thoroughly enjoyed the show. We haven't been to the Roleystone Theatre for about 20 years so we were very surprised with the changes and annoyed that we had missed so many great shows. The Fantasticks is a fantastic show. It is different, but that is what makes it special. The cast were excellent and I laughed most of the way through. It was so true to life. The use of a narrator and muse (if that is the word) was excellent and I have to say that I thought the pianist deserved an extra round of applause. You must go and see this show and wait until the very end - until the pianist has finished.
