The crgwllms Star Rating System
Tue, 16 Apr 2002, 02:37 pmBy the way crgwllms,
Is there any chance that you might be rating yourself? The number of stars for your comments is seemingly high.

If I think a post is worth highlighting with a high rating, I don't discriminate over who the author was...even if it was me.
Even our Prime Ministerial candidates get the opportunity to vote, and you can bet they don't vote for their opposition.
As I explained before, a single rating vote may seem unnaturally high or low, until many others vote and the average becomes more representational.
I'm getting into the habit of rating every message I deem worthy, and even reading back to find posts that I thought deserved a rating before this system was introduced. Hopefully this will encourage a high standard of contributions to this forum, and a way for casual readers to sort the Sultanas from the Bran.
Cheers
Craig
