Actors wanted for Horror-Gore Goth-Rock musical - Melbourne

1. Old West Carnie - Bongo the Clown:
'Once a star of the carnival circuit in the great old american dustbowl, Bongo the Clown has become a defeated, filthy has-been, incapable of walking straight, juggling his chickens and staying out of the bottom of every bottle.'
A male actor is wanted for the role of Bongo the Clown.
Performance dates (27th - 29th July). Singing ability is required.
2. Volunteer actors for support roles and vocal chorus. Character roles include Old Wild West townsfolk, carnie performers and devilish creatures. M/F. Ages 16+.
Rehearsals are weekly on Saturdays in the Western Suburbs. All actors are voluntary.

DEATH TO CARNIVALE! is a horror-gore musical theatre production about an old wild west carnival troupe and their showman Barnaby's spiralling descent into demonic madness. Exploring the ambiguity of the fringes before and after death and the mystical realm of the American blood-soaked dustbowl, the story follows the unforgiving fate of each sideshow carnie, as they head towards the impending doom that is inevitably brought upon them by Barnaby. Riddled with comic colour and driven by the dark undertones of violence and emotional anguish, this is a musical for those searching for a twisted and wickedly entertaining potrayal of the darkside.
Death to Carnivale! is a deliciously macabre adventure set to an original goth-rock score,with scorching guitars and eerie keys, inspired by old world carnivals, the wild west and cult horror movies alike.
