Where to find auditions in Lond
Thu, 11 Nov 2010, 02:04 pmHi,
I was just wondering if anyone could tell me where to find information on auditions held for shows in London? Is there a site in the UK like the Theatre Australia site?
Thanks in advance!

Although I do not recall the name of, there was (and possibly still is) a magazine where many if not all of the auditions and upcoming productions. I think it was http://www.thestage.co.uk/recruitment/
Another site may be http://www.uk.castingcallpro.com/jobs.php althought they look more a little of everything.
You could also try http://www.starnow.co.uk/
I don't know of any UK sites quite like this one, but there must be one...

The Stage is pretty much
The Stage is pretty much THE publication for UK auditions.
Don't forget that over there you need an equity card for any professional auditions. It's a good idea to check out what their membership offers, otherwise you'll be stuck with amateur stuff. Also, they'd have a list of resources. The UK is far far ahead of Australia in terms of the numbers of organisations and publications for people in the arts: I recall an organisation for theatre directors, one for techies (the BTT or some sort of acronym like that), etc.
And did you know Arts Hub also has a UK site? http://www.artshub.co.uk/uk/

The Stage
That's the one! I used to buy it every week. Glad to know it's still going strong.
