Young actors, dancers, singers (14-25yrs) required for original electro-pop musical THE SKANQUES

The award-winning Ashfield Youth Theatre is looking for young actors, singers and dancers aged 14yrs – 20yrs to help create a new electro-pop musical called SKANQUES – THE MUSICAL. SKANQUES – THE MUSICAL will investigate the time when friendships are challenged by the pressure to grow up too fast. The music will be full of attitude and speak the truth about the teenage experience in 2010. SKANQUES – THE MUSICAL will require its cast to: • Develop the original script further – script writing • Learn and sing the existing music (listen to the tracks at: www.myspace.com/theskanques) • Write new songs with composer Luke Dal Santo • Devise choreography • Perform in 3 venues across the Inner-West of Sydney on 3 consecutive weekends (Fri and Sat) in June Participation is free and rehearsals take place every Tuesday from 4.30pm-7.30pm at 2 Bastable St, Croydon.
