Mame!

At last night's auditions a fantastic selection of talented people were selected for roles in Mame (to be held at Pinjarra Civic Centre in May). However we are still searching for men to fill the following roles: Dwight Babcock the banker Lindsay Woolley, Mames gentlemen friend Mr Upson, the pretentious father of Gloria, Patrick's fiancee Ralph Levine, the heaadmaster of the alternative "life" school Young guys as Patrick's uni buddies for a great jitterbug dance number and men for the chorus numbers and as escorts for all the ladies. Male part enquiry

Hi Carole, I'm a 42yo guy here looking at getting back into the musical scene. Previous experience many years ago in the G&S Society (3 shows - mainly chorus roles though) and some previous Rodgers & Hammerstein (chorus and part speaking roles) down at Roleystone. Last 4 years have been in a rock cover band covering mainly 90s to current. Again, plenty of jam experience and about 10 gigs in that time. well, at least I'm honest. Whatever I do do I do with commitment and desire to do well so the questions below are to ensure that I can meet the needs of the show and NOT to signal a casual / inability to commit approach. Anyway, in a long winded way can you let me know the following: In the role of the Banker (that's me in real life!) how many songs and how much dialogue is required? Same for Mr Upson and Ralph Levine? Don't think I could pass myself off as one of the young guys anymore! How many shows are you planning (day / night)? Look forward to your reply if interested. Regards Richard
