The King of Syracuse asks his goldsmith to make a golden crown and gives him a precise amount of gold to do it. A rumour then surfaces that the goldsmith may have substituted some of the gold he was given for silver. The King asks Archimedes to determine the purity of the crown's gold. Trouble is...Archimedes is engaged to the goldsmith's daughter. The musical was performed at the Phoenix Theatre (in Melbourne)and was hugely successful.
