Hi everybody, Not sure if this has been announced here yet. I just got this press release in my email today and thought you might like to know about it. It sounds like a pretty exciting cast. ----------------------------------------- Award-winning Broadway and cabaret composer John Bucchino will perform a very special one-off concert at Manchester Lane with some of Melbourne’s finest performers. For one night only, Melbourne will be able to experience the music of this truly gifted and highly acclaimed songwriter. John Bucchino’s songs have been recorded by the likes of Liza Minelli, Judy Collins, Art Garfunkel, Patti Lupone, Kristin Chenoweth and Australia’s own David Campbell. His Broadway musical, A Catered Affair, was co-written with Harvey Fierstein and starred Broadway legends Faith Prince and Tom Wopat. In Melbourne, following his highly-anticipated appearance at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, John will appear onstage at the piano with Melbourne stars Anne Wood (Mamma Mia, Follies), Chris Parker (Sideshow Alley, Oklahoma), Chris Durling (John and Jen, High School Musical) and Helen Dallimore (Wicked - West End). The concert will feature some of Bucchino’s best known songs, with material from his recordings Grateful – The Songs of John Bucchino and the cast recording of his musical revue, It’s Only Life, as well as songs from A Catered Affair. Don’t miss this special one night only event showcasing this unique and exciting musical theatre voice. For tickets and information visit www.manchesterlane.com.au or call (03) 9663 0630. Doors open from 6pm.
