I can't think of any off the top of my head - although it would help if you told us more about what you're planning on doing. If you're traveling interstate, you may be able to apply for funding; if you're traveling overseas, you could apply for funding, sponsorship, or get a scholarship. If you're going nowhere (ie. staying in the same state), then there is probably nothing you could apply for - although I could be wrong - unless you're doing something higher than a Bachelor. First step, I suggest contacting your local state arts board to see what kinds of grants are available. Secondly, contact the course you want to attend and see whether they have their own list of people/organisations who offer funding/sponsorship, or even a scholarship. There are a lot of funding body links in my database here: http://www.thepromptcopy.com/pip/theatrelinks.htm (Head for the funding section) Thirdly, you'll have to consider your attractiveness to sponsors - I don't mean in a physical way. You're asking someone to give you money to go study, and organisations or funding bodies will want to know why. Are you particularly good at musical theatre? Why should they give you the money and not someone else? Fun puppet patterns to make at home! Puppets to buy at Puppets in Melbourne
