Blood Brothers is a rags-to-riches story that makes a haunting musical tragedy of our times. Cast: (Age range should be used as a guide only) Mrs Johnstone (Mother) (age 30 to 40s) Strong actress. Voice Mezzo. Narrator (Also appears as Milkman; Gynaecologist; Bus Conductor; Milkman; Teacher; Rifle range man) (age 30 to 50) Voice Tenor. Mrs Lyons (age 30 to 40s) Voice Mezzo. Mr Lyons (age 30 to 40s) Voice Baritone. Mickey (Non – identical twin) (age 20 to 30s) Must be able to play a convincing 7 and 14 year old. Voice Baritone. Edward (Non – identical twin) (age 20 to 30s) Must be able to play a convincing 7 and 14 year old. Voice Tenor. Sammy (age 20 to 30s) Must be able to play a convincing 9 and 16 year old. Voice N/A. Linda (age 20 to 30s) Must be able to play a convincing 7 and 14 year old. Voice Mezzo. Chorus (Requires good vocal ability and the ability to play many different parts in one production) Catalogue Man, Finance Man, Policeman, Judge, children, policemen, neighbours, wedding guests, councillors, nurses, etc. The audition for Blood Brothers will take place at the Melville Theatre September 15th. Please contact Kirsty Peddie on 0415 557 716 to book a timeslot. Please prepare a song from a musical displaying your vocal ability. This can be either unaccompanied or you can bring a backing CD with no vocals. You can also sing a song from Blood Brothers and use our backing track from the show. The timeslots are 15 minutes but as we will also pair people up to do a bit of reading from the play please be prepared to stay for about an hour. Please arrive 15 minutes early to fill in your personal details. Due to the complexity of the musical we will not be able to give parts to people who are involved in other plays at the same time. omg!

Why can't someone who IS 11 play as Linda or Sammy!? Cos I think that's unfair!...

By the end of the play,

By the end of the play, Linda is in her early twenties, so I think an 11 year old may struggle with that. Same with Sammy.
