Three Strikes

‘Three Strikes’ is a Barefaced Exclusive for Summer Nights. It is a hilarious 50-minute revelation, written and performed by Brian Finkelstein, a major scriptwriter for American TV.

Brian is here in Perth, teaching and guiding around 50 potential comics on how to build up and hone their stories, and deliver their lines – the results being shown in ‘Barefaced’ at the Blue Room. Bookings through The Blue Room Theatre, or PICA, will to get you tickets for $5 less than the standard Fringe World prices.

‘Three Strikes’ is at the PICA Performance Space nightly at 8.00 pm until the 4th February.

We are taken back to Brian’s 39th birthday. He is working in the perfect job as a scriptwriter for a well-known American daytime TV programme. What could be better? Lots of fun friends around, jokes all day every day. What surprise will his colleagues have for his birthday celebrations?

Then the writers’ strike of 2007 hits his office. Will he survive?

Brian has the most wonderful zany and absurd wit. His script is beautifully constructed, it is tight and a filled with hilarity. No sentence is unnecessarily long. There is a laugh in every breath. The whole performance builds up to a clever conclusion and punch line.

Perth is honoured to have such talent advising and guiding our up-and-coming comedians.

Very funny script and most professional performance. Highly recommended.
