Another opening another show la la la etc. I went to see the opening of FAME the other night at the capitol in Sydney. We all know the story, this cast are amazing dancers and the musical theatre numbers are amongst the finest you would see anywhere in the world. I have reservations about some of the acting, which I found forced in places. Kelley Abbeys direction is refreshingly vibrant and confident, I'm sure she will be in with a shout at the Helpmanns. No point in me going on about Fame, it is so worth going to see it, excellent cast, brilliant dancing, brilliant singing, a feel good musical which had me humming the tunes all the way home and after. 8 out of 10.

If the "opening" was worthy

If the "opening" was worthy of an 8/10 rating Peter, you might think it will get even better as the season progresses, with the cast becoming more familiar with the material and in their roles. Your assessment doesn't make me want to go and see it though.
