The Tasmanian Babes Fiasco By John Birmingham Adapted for the stage by Simon Bedak Directed by Natalie Bochenski Presented by Brisbane Arts Theatre Petrie Terrace, Brisbane A few witty lines, a handful of amusing skits and a great save after a theatrical mishap weren’t enough to rescue this entire production from becoming a complete fiasco. The Brisbane-based novel, which is a sequel to He Died with a Falafel in his Hand, has been adapted for Brisbane theatre audiences. Unfortunately, the sharp comedic script packed with plenty of local reference was painfully untidy and lacking the quality Brisbane Arts Theatre has delivered so far this year... By Kellie Scott.
