Has anyone seen Narnia yet? I would like to see some review before I commit to going.

Opening Night

Sun, 17 Jan 2010, 11:52 pm

I saw it on Friday 15th which was opening night.  I would say that it is well worth the drive to MPAC and the $28 ticket (adult)

As far as the performances go, it was good! The singing, dancing and acting were, across the board, as competent as you would expect from community theatre.

There were some exceptionally good things about the production, in my opinion, and they were:

- Costume and Make up

- Set

- The orchestra

- Some dance numbers (e.g. Red Robin ballet)

- Jason Arrow as ASLAN

The score is a bit random so NARNIA purists may be a little offended by the stylistic deviation from the text, but hey, you get that in any transfer from one medium to another. It's a gorgeous venue and I think there are 4 more shows next weekend, but that's it.

Hope that's helpful to you :)
