Britain’s most hated woman is dead, and Constable Billy Tyler has been called in to guard the notorious child-killer’s body.
This is the first stage adaptation of award-winning UK author Rupert Thomson’s work, based on his novel Death of a Murderer (short-listed, 2007 Whitbread Book of the Year).
We saw this production last night and all I can say to all involved is WELL BLOODY DONE! Fantastic & effective theatre. Well done Matt - this really does deserve recognition - great theatre, well written and nicely directed.
Some fantastic performances. Chris - great naturalness on stage - lovely connection throughout - final speech, wonderful. Kingsley - outstanding (as per usual!) Great speech - well performed - took the whole audience on a journey they didn't really want to take. Mike - Great character - wonderful stage presence - wanted to see more (of the performance you filthy bastard!) And Helen - object achieved - creepy, yucky, get back you weird bitch!
Lighting - sounds - effects: Excellent! Created the perfect atmosphere for this show. I felt very uncomfortable more than once (and it wasn't just the chairs).
Wonderful theatre - real life thrown in your face - what do ya think of THIS! This deserves to be seen by more.
Well done everyone involved - Matt, cast, crew - hats off!
Only two nights left - so probably too late if you havn't seen.

Cheers
