‘Hold this moment’ is a 40-minute production at the Hayman Theatre, Curtin University and is showing each night at 8.00 pm until 6th June.

We join God (Casey Basire) as he controls and guides eleven of his children from birth to death, with the use of a holy computer. Not everything goes to plan.

This is a theatrical piece put together by the Devise Group. The actors take us through pain, humour, movement, anger etc. as all aspects of theatrical stagecraft are considered. The students have put quite a lot of lateral thinking into the taster, with particularly good performances from Casey Basire, Garreth Bradshaw, Simeon Brudenell, Cherie Armour and Zijana Hozanovic.

This show will be of particular interest to those Senior School students considering acting as a career, but who still think that performing is merely walking onto a stage and relating the lines learnt the night before. The show demonstrates many of the wide range of skills expected from a quality performer.
