The Master Class that was held on the 17th April 2007 was a fantastic experience, even allowing for the fact that Stephen made an example of me in a live role-play demonstration. I am still pulling at the threads!

Stephen is a fountain of knowledge with oddles of real-life experience, and a presentation style that is full of energy, which he says is an important part of being a Director: Giving Energy, Controlling Energy, 'Release the Dragon!'

The attention to details that other directors may overlook explains why Stephen Lee is a well respected performer and director of both community and professional theatre. Being guided (for the first time) by his vision, finding the pauses, the change of reference, the energy build up, the reactive performance, brought home a few things about my own acting style let alone anything to do with direction.

Imagine trying to compress several weeks of rehersal into a short 20 min demo. Somehow, that's exactly what happend.

Thank you Stephen for a most enjoyable (and enlightening) experience from the participant with a few bruises forming.
