Seussical - not a wrong note!
Sun, 14 Jan 2007, 02:33 pmI know that Seussical has aleady been highly praised but you can never get enough praise. I know I come from a biased point of view because I am a member of Playlovers Theatre Company but from someone who has seen many musicals in my time and seen the show many times last year, I would like to once again 'congratulate' the cast on a fantastic show that above all just sounded fantastic.
I can pick so many highlights of the show - costumes, dancing, colour, staging etc.
But i would just like to say that show sounded awesome.
Breeahn Jones, Kira Morsley, Vicki Kirkman, Madeleine Shaw, Donna-Maree Gavin and Paul Treasure all sounded beautiful and didn't miss a note.
Now I left one of the main characters out because I wanted to singley praise him...Mr Alex McLennan, a veteran to the stage who just shined in the loveable Horton the Elephant. Every note that comes out of this man's mouth sends shivers down a person's spine. Well done Alex - again!
And Drew - what a loveable Cat in the Hat! The audience loved him.
A great second season that was bigger, better and just once again a whole lot of fun!
Great work Kim and everyone who involved.

I completely agree with
I completely agree with Kirk and Melanie. It was an awesome shows. I think it worked slightly better with a smaller, more closely knit cast, and more people got a chance to do other stuff such as dancing, which they didn't in the first show.
If you missed out on seeing this production, or you want to see more, Seussical will be performing a segment in the Finley Award presentations on Saturday night at Penrhoss.
There will be 9 extracts from top shows over 2006, so for a great nights entertainment, get your tickets now from BOCS!
Cheers
