Wot no stars? I appreciate Daniel's comment so will miss the stars in the future. This may also bring, for the first time, a small ray of sunshine to Stinger's life.

“Don’t lose the place” a farce by Derek Benfield is showing at the Harbour Theatre in Fremantle until the 2nd December.
Having been brought up on a regular diet of Whitehall Farces from the master of farce, Brian Rix, I am invariably disappointed by the local productions. In this case I need have had no fears. This comedy show was one of the best at the Harbour Theatre for some time. The whole cast got the timing, delivery, facial expressions and atmosphere spot on. Wonderful acting. The show glowed.
The script was a little slow in the beginning as it set the scene, and the actors were slightly too frantic and occasionally used voices near to the pitch only heard by dogs, but rapidly the whole team settled in, got it right and the fun flowed.
The action opens to the catchy music of Chas and Dave, immediately setting the location as London. The set, a flat near the Thames, was cleverly designed and one of the best I have seen in amateur theatre (Harry Schulz and a his team).
The play begins with Sylvia (Susannah Devenish) who has just lost her love of several years, sensuously preening herself in preparation for the arrival of her new admirer Clive (Gordon Park). No sooner has he arrived and the romantic session started, when Sylvia’s business partner, Gemma (Nicola Bond - brilliant) arrives from her holidays and is looking for a bed for the night. Things become difficult when Walter (Kim Taylor) arrives and has to reject Gemma’s affections. Then the arrival of the carpenter is the final nail in the coffin.
The action flows immaculately, the pace is helped by the selective lighting on the different rooms, and a suitable choice of music – a very professional show.

"Wot no stars? I appreciate Daniel's comment so will miss the stars in the future" There was nothing wrong with the stars, it's just that they weren't consistent enough!
