For anyone in Sydney not away for the long weekend may I recommend this excellent show at the Zenith theatre. I went last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. A mostly thru-sung story of relationships experienced through the theme of the Big OE this is a funny, moving and entertaining night out. The talented cast of about six give their all and are supported by expert musical direction. This is a show that in someway harks back to the simpler musicals of the 1970s but has an innocence, bounce and charm that is very rarely found in 'original musicals' today. Particular congratulations to Epicentre for taking the brave decision to mount a completely original show. As i know no-one in the cast or crew it is rare for me to take up the computer keyboard (so to speak) to recommend a show. However if you miss this production look out for it in Australian and New Zealand Professional theatres in future- it certainly has the merit to be there and with its small cast and economical staging, should have great appeal.
