Dammit, I actually saw this show before its last night but something went wrong when I tried to post my review. Not to worry, as I recall it went something like this. This is a story about a talented man with a flawed personality and two people who believe in him. It is a somewhat harrowing narrative, given a sensitive and thus engaging treatment by this cast and director. The cast is a mixture of experienced hands and young blood. Generally, I find this to be a very healthy mix for community theatre. However, as well as the positive lessons to be learned, there is always the danger of bad habits, such as leaving it until the last minute to 'put the book down' being passed on as well. The set and lighting design were simple but effective and the choice of link music most enjoyable, if a little modern for the era. In all, entertainingly done.
