Obviously, some people are keen to see a review of this latest offering from Melville Theatre, so here goes:
I never go to Melville as a rule - unless there are some Curtin people in the cast - or the audience for that matter. It always makes me think how much better community theatre could be if only they all did a drama course at a real university and trod the boards of a real theatre like Hayman. However, on this occasion it was a case of 'noblesse oblige' and to say the least I was pleasantly surprised - or perhaps delighted or even tickled pink would best express it. In fact, I almost had an accident I laughed so much!
The cast were all very good looking, the set was very well set, the lights well lit and the sound was sound especially the music. I can't tell you anything about the play itself or I might give away all the twists and turns - besides, I didn't really understand it. I thought the lead actor could have gestured a bit more, but otherwise he was very convincing - at least I thought so until I found out that he was actually a (shock horror) Murdoch T&D graduate! To add insult to injury, some other members of the cast were even dancers and singers before they tried acting. Where will it all end?
Anyway, thanks Melville for the complimentary sherry and forgive me for passing on the choccies!

Re: Death By Chocolate

Hmmm...still not sore about the review he did for 'Gentleman Incorporated' by any chance fellahs?

Re: Death By Chocolate

The postings of one or two people do not reflect the general feelings of MTC. If Chas is into raking over dead embers he needs to get a life. We see plenty of drivel in the various forums, grow up!

DEATH BY CHOCOLATE WAS GREAT

A little satire seems to have backfired. My apologies to MTC and anyone else who took it the wrong way.

Re: Death By Chocolate

Loved your sense of humour Gorgon the Octopus, but wonder, is this really the best thing you can find to do at midnight or 2 in the morning when you posted these letters?

This is a sad, sad message.

My previous posting was for Chas not you Gordon or Gorgon!

I have got a life. But it appears some of the posted forums regarding the review for "Death by Chocolate" review don't have one. Perhaps you should get one too Mr 'Tired of this!' (If that is indeed your real name!)

Murdoch graduates do suck

At least it is (and always has been) a REAL university and not just a glorified TAFE!

Murdoch students do suck. I was in a short film made by a group of murdoch students and they took like 3 months in the making for a 8 min short film. they wasted my time, their own time, the actors time, but at least I have something to add to my resume...

Re: Murdoch graduates do suck

I did a short film with some Murdoch students and I spent a week filming and got back the results within about 5 weeks. I guess there is no pleasing some.
