Cabaret - Newcastle

I saw Cabaret in Newcastle on Saturday night, and I have to say it is probably one of the best things I have seen in a while. The girl who plays Sally Bowles, Samantha Fiddes, is like a pocket rocket, in other words she goes off. The sets, lighting and costumes were awesome, and the choreography, WOW. The cast work so well together to take the audience on the journey with them, and the end of the first and second acts is quite confronting. I was a little disapointed in the MC, I didn't think he was near menacing enough, but I think that may be a language thing, because apparently he has only been in Australia for a short while (he is hungarian or something).

All in all a great show.
