Memorable Singin in the Rain

I was very fortunate to see a wonderful group of young people perform in the musical classic of Singin in the Rain last Wednesday night at the Playhouse Theatre.

I am new to the Internet thing and have only recently discovered the Theatre Australia website. I wanted to express my joy and gratitude to the cast of Singin in the Rain.

I have seen a lot of Theatre in my 70 years, but this show has left a lasting impression on me. As much as young are maligned in society today, this fantastic cast with its talents and boundless energy has proven to me that next generation are worthy ambassadors for the future of Theatre.

There were so many highlights in the show including an energetic chorus that enjoyed themselves throughout the show and their dancing was a real highlight. Great performances by the leads including a wonderful Lina Lamont, golden performances by Dexter, RF and Don Lockwood, the truly delightful and magical voice of Kathy and a Cosmo that was truly amazing and made me laugh so much.

I urge others out there who want to support our young people to see this show.

I have recently lost a loved one but the cast of Singin in the Rain have given me a night of sheer enjoyment and delight that I have not be able to have for a long time.

Thank you so much for providing me with an evening that I will long remember!!!!
