Steel Magnolias
Mon, 22 Aug 2005, 04:12 pmCongratulations to the cast, crew and director of a most moving piece of entertainment in the production of 'Steel Magnolias' currently showing at Kwinana Theatre Workshop.
This was a pleasure to see. Real running water on stage, very moving speeches by Annelle and M'Lynn (in which you need a hanky to dry your eyes), the kind-heartedness shown to all her clients by Truvy, Ouiser still in a very bad mood after the last 40 years, a brave young Shelby, a fun loving Clairee and all done with a lovely accent that they hold for the entire performance.
To all that are involved - well done. This is one of the most special pieces of amateur theatre that I have seen in a long time. If you have time try to get down to see it. Four more performances. Check the 'What's On' section of this site.
