Hearts Desire
Thu, 14 July 2005, 10:45 pmThis show is only on until the 16th of July, so make time to see this excellent production that Adam Mitchell and BSX have put together.
(I apoligise in advance for any Spelling errors, and I already realise that my Grammar aint real good)
Having very little previous knowledge of this piece, I realised early on that this production would be quite a challenge. Its fast paced, cyclical and the comic timing needs to be spot on. All of which were pulled off very well by the cast. I don't wish to single out any names, as all the cast gave strong performances with no weak links at all. I must admit, at first I was rather cynical, as I usually feel that young actors playing older characters is a bit hard to watch because I feel it isn't quite believable..... Well, I was cetainly mistaken. These guys did a truly exceptional job at playing the older characters, from physical appearance right down to their body language. (Im now having flashbacks from TEE Drama).
This really is a fantastic piece of work which deserves large audiences. If you see this you will be presented with an enjoyable night out, and you will also be supporting the wealth of young talent that Perth has to offer.
Congratulations Adam and the cast of Hearts Desire. This is a very well Directed and performed production you have. Good luck for the rest of your season.
