Re: Crazy For You
Yes, I saw it last night and it was fabulous! Everyone should go and see it if you're a fan of Cole Porter and his ilk. The two leads are gorgeous together and the supporting leads were all in danger of stealing the show from them, but their final number really made sure there was no danger of that.
Seriously, I think it's sold out but if it's not, GO AND SEE IT. It's hilarious and an extraordinary piece of musical theatre. Yay!

Re: Crazy For You
Saw it last night. Its a bunch of Gershwin songs patched together with a really thin plot. Not much acting occurs, a lot of very good singing and dancing does however. Its fun. The supporting leads DO steal the show because they attempt characterisation. Wouldn't go as far to say it was "extraordinary musical theatre" but there is a lot of talent being showcased and that is always good to see.

Re: Crazy For You
Pity it's full of Gershwin songs, Mrs. Sondheim! If you want quality Porter songs come to "Cole" at Albury-Wodonga next month!! (Shameless plug.) Seriously, "Crazy for You" is a very good musical, well-written and with great Gershwin songs offering a fun, pleasant night out - as opposed to some of the "meaningful" musicals around at the moment.

Thanks for the shameless plug, tickles! I didn't necessarily mean the music though, I just meant I thought the humour was really reminiscient of Cole. It's Gershwinalicious.
