live at the rogue

live @ the rogue is a fantasic cabaret based in a 1950's swing night club...i feel that the show was full of energy from start to finish with hit after hit of 1950's swing.....
this is the only show ive seen where plot doesnt matter....the feeling created of just having a night in a club and swinging away to classic songs was pulled off brilliantly...
congratulations to director trevor whittaker for creating such a loverble show which still gives me goosebumps each time i see it....
well done to emma for all her hard work and to the cast.....u's all rocked....good luck in your tour....

I thought it was a great show, but too much of it involved the one male singer. He was good, but some of the other voices were better. Also, the band tended to drown the singers out.

Great dancing from everyone and the show bopped right along. I would have liked to have heard more from the group as a whole

the comment about the involvement of one singer has been said by many and taken into consideration...the cast has now lifted they energy to meet a equal involvment level....

if u missed out at laycock live at the rogue is still showing at hornsby rsl, newcastle panthers and liverside paramatta....

Omi-god!! This was marketed as a professional show!! What I saw was far from it. No offence to the rest of the cast as you were lead by an obviously inexperienced director - T. Whittaker. Songs were obviously chosen to fulfill the directors self indulgence and the numbers were selfishly directed. This show's format could have worked so well and the majority of the players held up. Congratulations to Kasey McKensie, her professionalism was overwhelming and casted a shadow over everyone else. This show's format could have worked wonders - but didn't. It could have been as slick as the first season (even the first one was pushin' it), its just the director needs to take a backseat with this and focus on the show, the cast and forget himself. Thats what is really holding it down. Good attempt, but when i pay for a show that states it is professional - i would like to get my moneys worth.
