Red Roses and Petrol
Fri, 20 May 2005, 12:09 amJust back from the ITP's latest production Red Roses and Petrol at the Irish Club in Subiaco.
As a faithful supporter of community theatre I have to say this play was a pleasant surprise.
It is a contemporary Irish black comedy by Joseph O'Connor which leaves you in tears of laughter and sorrow. It is directed by Noel O'Neill who has brought together a wonderful mix of talent.
The acting is top notch. Marian Byrne (Moya) and Mike Anthony Sheehy (Johnny) aptly deliver powerful performaces. They are supported by a very talented local mix of actors: Stacy Doyle, Siobhan Wright, Patrick Abbott, Daniel Kershaw and Aimee Sanderson.
I suggest you catch this production before it ends on 28th of May
