How the Quest was Won
Wed, 23 Mar 2005, 11:59 amAfter all the hype that preceded the premiere of this new local ABC TV show, I was expecting something of great innovation and artistic merit - sort of a cross between the 'Big Hoo-Haa' and 'Enough Rope'. How disappointed was I?
It was totally bland stuff, boring in places and verging on dull overall. I put it down to beginner's hesitation, but surely these people have the talent and experience to push the envelope a bit further than that! One improvement might have been to send Sam to a secret Tripe Club dinner at the Mint Leaf restaurant or something.
I hope for the sake of all of us that it gets better as the season progresses.
Thou pribbling fool-born dewberry!

Wed, 23 Mar 2005, 11:28 pm...aah, but you can watch The Big HOO HAA! at Lazy Susan's Comedy Lounge, upstairs at The Brisbane Hotel each Saturday - except for this Easter Saturday. Head back there on Sat 2 April, doors open 8 pm.
Or catch the wicked Acoustic Idol on Thursday 7 April, same venue, same time. I'll be hosting with my musical partner in crime, Brodie.
Baggas :)
