I saw this wonderful show on Friday night. Goodness me where does all this talent come from in Perth! The atmosphere was perfect for this thinking person's musical. From the opening note till the last candle snuffing canon I was mesmorized. In particular I would like to congratulate Simon and Chris on their casting. Each voice was totally different yet blended beautifully. Ali with her sultry, jazz voice suited the songs chosen for her. The gorgeous and talented Suzie Mathers excelled in the challenging songs for her, what a beautiful, expressive face she has! It was my first time in having the pleasure in seeing and hearing the talent of Rhoda Lopez and I couldnt keep my eyes off her. Her voice and stage presence was unbelievable. Chris Kabay told wonderful stories with his voice and acting. How clever he is to sing 'Masculinum - Femininum' and make it look so easy! Congratulations also to Chris for his choreography and overall design. Simon Holt's voice is smooth and faultless. He and Rhoda made me say 'wow' at the end of their beautiful duette 'A Little Yearning'. Bravo! to all involved. Overall, a most extraordinary and amazing piece of theatre. Please, please do go and see this most professional piece of entertainment.
