casual drink o' stoopids
Fri, 28 Nov 2003, 07:52 am‘Casual Drink o’ Stoopids’ is beautifully written piece of mayhem showing at the Blue Room for a VERY limited season, in fact there is now little chance of getting a ticket, as the whole season has been an instant sell out. Presented by a group of ex-Haymanites, one wonders what was in the water the year these three ladies and Luke Milton were there.
The ‘curtain rises’ on a smart flat which has a few clues as to what will follow. The stylish oil painting on the wall on closer examination has more genitals per square inch than Swanbourne Beach. The female garden torso has had a pubic wig added.
A very pregnant Trish (Andrea Gibbs) enters and allows her Karma and chanting to give her an orgasm. TrishÂ’s almost normal sister Narelle (Jane Pyper) returns home from work and as the discussion continues it becomes obvious that she too is oversexed, with a particular passion for a rock singer who is coming to town.
A friend, Julie (Michelle Baginski) calls in to see Narelle, but Trish has the hots for her, but there again Trish has the hots for anything that moves and Julie spends half her time trying to avoid the less than subtle advances of Trish.
With the help of Julie, Narelle goes to see the rock concert and so the story continues Â….
Jane, Michelle and Andrea must be in the top 5 comediennes in Perth. Their timing is faultless and the lines they have written for themselves fresh and hilarious. The free 12-sided programme had some well sought out adverts from the past and was a quality item.
Tegan Mulvany and Karen Cook did the technicals rounding off a VERY professional show.
