Singing in the Rain & Beyond Therapy
Mon, 16 June 2003, 05:20 pmUp front I must say - this is not an official Review - but having been entertained by 2 excellent amateur productions over this past weekend
I felt the need to write a congratulatory message to both companies.
Firstly - Congratulations to all concerned in the Limelight Theatre's production Singin' in the Rain - the night I went the audience was whistling & cheering after every scene! - WHAT A NIGHT!!!
Each and every person on that stage gave a superb performance, the orchestra was one of the best I have heard for a long time, the costumes, the scenery, the make-up, the props.....it was all WONDERFUL.
Secondly - Congratulations to all concerned in Playlovers production Beyond Therapy - WOW!! They say laughter is the best medicine - and they're right - this play had my friends and me in fits all night long.
The actors were all sensational, my favourite however had to be the "psycho" therapist.
Do yourself a favour and go see them both.

Thu, 3 July 2003, 03:40 pmDear Richard Day,
I must say I agree! The opening entertainment of the production was extremely well rehearsed and I hope to see more of it in future. I am a grade nine teacher at Reece High School and all my life I have waited for a call to act. I have surfed the Internet to the the early hours of a Saturday morning and I still can't seem to find an acting production or television station that will even give me an audition! Oh well! That's life!
